So my dearest cousin showed me a photo. It looked awesome and had clever use of photo editing tools too. She said, “Bro, how is this done? Can you too do it?”
I got the concept all right, but was a little skeptical. Still, no harm in giving it a shot! A little tweaking and a few repeats down, I got the proof of concept shot pretty clear.

I took two photos, one of the flame and the other one of the smoke, keeping everything absolutely same! Then, i layered them in photoshop and masked the flame in the top, and let the reflection remain only! Layer mask to the rescue! 🙂
Gosh! That sounds like cheating. You are right – that is called photoshop! You are I are the real world photo lovers 🙂
Cheating…. Controversial! Some will consider this too as a form of creative art too! I don’t like to photoshop much, but i d rather be knowing how to do these too 🙂
