PetFed is one of the most popular pet meet that is organized annually at various locations around the country. Pets of all shapes, sizes and breeds are welcome and there are multiple events organized for them.
This year’s, PetFed Mumbai was organized on 19th and 20th of January. Below are some of the photos from the first day of the event to help bring back memories of the wonderful time spent in company of the furballs. Enjoy!
What I found quite amazing is that there were quite a few number of pets around and there was remarkably less snapping and fighting amongst them, they all got along so well. Kudos to the owners s who have trained their pets to behave well.

With PetFed 2019 scheduled for January, the ramping up to the mega event has already begun, in the form of Pupper Parties.
PetFed is one of the biggest congregation of pets in the town. Multitude of dogs and cats can be seen with their respective human pets. Here, the paws are the kings and queens and all others are the slaves. Often one can find the human subjects gawking and cooing at the pups and kittens around. Overall, it is fun, for any pet lover that is. You can check out the coverage of PetFed 2017 here and here.
The mini parties which take place around the town, we call them Pupper Parties. A previous one can be seen here and here.
Many more of these amazing pooches meet at the subsequent Pupper Parties. If you are a pet lover and are in Mumbai, I would recommend you join these parties and have a gala time!
Day 1 at PetFed 2017 was amazing, while day 2 had more of pups and humans coming in for the shows and games. On the second day, I barely took some photos for I was too busy cuddling furballs all over the field. Here are a few:
There was a dog obedience demonstration and the dogs featured were non other than Begian Malinois. Since watching Person of Interest, I always wanted to get close to a Malinois. Such innocent face they have, cuties, while one must always remember that there are fewer more loyal or ferocious.
Then there was a Poodle. A super pretty and quite a tiny one.
Then, there was this puppy and this rabbit, the only rabbit in the entire PetFed 2017.
And finally, there was Simran with a cat.
To end, I will say that it was a wonderful weekend of playing and cuddling with so many dogs and cats. Had an amazing time working with fellow photographers and other volunteers and I look forward to meeting even more pets the next PetFed!!
I prefer putting up photos which are new, and have not been used before for my posts. But sometimes, such a topic of weekly challenge comes up, where I can find no other photo more apt than one that had been previously used in a different post too.

I am an animal lover, with special attraction for four pawed young ones, commonly puppies and kittens…wouldn’t mind baby pandas and bears too for that matter, maybe baby otters also.
Anyway, after a hectic day of classes, I felt very elated to hear yelp like mewing coming from the nearby parking lot. Investigation, led me to this tiny fellow.
But, it didn’t seem very friendly.
The next day, found the same one, in a much agreeable mood.
Finding the time to play with kittens and puppies are a well deserved treat according to me, what did you treat yourself to?
Often I crib that am not finding enough models to do photo ops with. Its true upto a certain extent actually, but then, it makes me shoot a lot of different subjects and also experiment. And has forced me to make it a habit to carry my camera with me almost everywhere. And, this habit pays off 🙂
I went to an old friend’s place this Sunday. It was set up to be a proper family meet. 10 minutes after reaching there, I noticed a family pic. And, thats when I noticed the 4 legged furball’s presence.
This post, is for the cute, one floppy eared, thickly coated, absolutely lovely, Blacky.
Shes a very friendly dog and I realized, if you are patient and non intrusive, every dog is friendly. I have been bitten once, but still, I love dogs.
Some pigeons also dropped in to the photo session 🙂

I ll begin with stating a more than less true statement…”we all love young ones”. Some like young human babies, some like young kittens, baby goats and cows are very cute too..and some, like me, puppies!
They come in various shapes, sizes, colour and temperament too, but one thing that they all are, very very cute.
In India, stray dogs are mostly considered as menace and moms can be heard sternly repeating and reiterating a million times to their kids, not to play with them. Not because they hate dogs or such, but more so because the puppies may not be very healthy and the risk of being bitten by the mother dog, is always there. But that doesnt put the kids off. And as for me, I have already been bitten once, have taken an anti-rabies course too, so… I dont have much issues at all, and mom also knows, no point telling me not to play with em :p
So, here are a few I found playing nearby. Maybe I ll get some more tomorrow too.

Despite the fact that these pups are absolute balls of happiness and fur, maybe only a lucky one or two will survive due to the diseases they contract or lack of food. Feeding the puppies is frowned upon by a lot of people for reasons best known to them. I feed them as and when I find them nearby, cz by me, these pups are still very innocent, and they wont go bite or do you any harm unless you do anything untoward to them. I hope, someday, these stray pups get some place where they can grow and be healthy.
