Broken..

When things break, sometimes, they are repairable, namely, hearts and at times promises. But then, some cannot be repaired, and hence, need to be replaced, example, links of a watch’s chain! Enjoy!!

30,000 ft and climbing…

Taxi, accelerate, take off and climb. Look outside, you are enveloped in the fluffy cloud cover. Fly safe!

Boon or Bane?

Hydel power plants are the new age necessary evils. On one hand, they give clean renewable energy, while on the other hand, they may cause environmental effects, and at times be fatal too.

Here, the river bed was a trickling stream about 5 minutes prior to the shot. Then, in an instant, the check dam’s water valves were opened, and nature unleashed her pent up energy in the form of the raging river, it once was. A couple of kids got washed off, and eventually rescued. By me, water, is one of deadliest forces of nature.

Toxic

Hi there all,

Of the numerous requests I receive to make a photo in a certain way, few of them materialize in the way we want it to be. Here is one of the rare cases, when things went favorably. A little less windy, and results would have been marvelous.

Parul, I hope breath is illustrated here, though toxic in nature  🙂

As the name of the post suggests, cigarette smoking is toxic, and it will cause health issues for anyone who inhales the smoke, active or passive. So, kindly refrain from smoking in company of non smokers, let them live, and yeah, quitting helps too!

Early Bird

Early Birds are often lucky. In terms of seating positions in conferences, bus seats, parking spots, catching the worms, virtually everything. Also, in photography. Try reaching a spot early in the morning, with the sun not yet shining brightly and the morning calm still being present, and you will see the spot in a completely new way.

The following shot, was at Varanasi. I left for the river banks while it was still dark. I had a 5 kms walk ahead of me. By the time I reached, the sun was coming up and the birds were still around. The sight was simply marvelous. Perks of being an early bird, I ll say 🙂

Rise Up, Stay Afloat and Fly Away

Somehow, my original post, was lost. It has all the trails, and end up in a “Page Not Found” page. But hey, am not cool with that. So, Afloat, this is how I see it.

In my grand view of life, I feel there are three phases. Rise up, stay afloat and finally fly away. Each will have its own merits and to achieve them, will have its own set parameters. The journey is tough and no doubt, arduous too, but once we manage to consolidate, no stopping anymore.

Here are two different instances of being afloat. One, over the liquid surface of Bay of Bengal, off the coast of Andaman Islands. And the other, floating in the invisible air, is a tiny bit of fire. Hope you like my take.

Blurred away…

Often, we leave out the photos which have blurs in them, unintentionally. But, sometimes, the blurred photos also look pretty, and just keep them. Here is such a photo.

I was attempting long exposure zoom bursts, but then, I ended with these.

A Fleeting instant..

When they gave the word, Ephemeral, in the weekly challenge, I will be honest, I had to check the dictionary first. Once enlightened, I feel, a fleeting instant, is an example, and hence, heres my take on a fleeting instant.

It may be just a tick of second hand, or maybe an entire lifetime too!

Fresh…and pretty!

Hi there,

When in a bit of doubt, about what to shoot, or just taking a bit of time off, and yet, you dont want the stats bar to be a dead flat line….shoot for the weekly photo challenge. This week, its fresh!

The black background, was almost naturally achieved by using the cellphone’s flash on the flowers to light it up. And then, a little bit of tweaking always helps.

Check out my posts on a recent trip I took….it got snow covered mountains, and steam engines too 😛

Happy shooting!

Wall…with a few big pores!

Walls! Maybe one of the most common things we build apart from relationships. The way I see it, with every new relationship, we build a new wall of a kind. Physical, emotional, but a wall, a barrier, a fence, nevertheless.

Lets break free from the fences and leap towards the other side…the grass is greener on the other side, right? Lets go find out 🙂
